Mastihari an unspoilt fishing village in a rural and lovely setting, spread across a gently sloping green hillside against a backdrop of purple tinged mountains. Mastihari is particularly popular with couples and families in search of relaxation and a taste of Greece. There is a long sand and shingle beach here with sunbeds and parasols available for hire which stretches for miles. A handful of shops and tavernas and a selection of low key nightlife. It is a quiet and peaceful resort visited mainly by independent travellers, so bear in mind entertainment and shopping is limited and better in Kos Town. In the easy-going village you will find a dozen traditional tavernas, a handful of bars and cafes, a single disco, several mini-markets and a number of shops. There is a small jetty for fishing caiques to dock at and where boats to the island of Kalymnos moor. Transfer approximately 15 mins from Kos airport.
