This is a hard one. However, Costa del Sol has a much larger variety of beaches than Costa Brava, so it just takes the edge. You\u2019ll find long strips of soft sand, water sports of all kinds, and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants lining the beaches. There are also quieter parts of the region away from the hustle and bustle \u2013 you may even find a hotel with its very own private beach<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll find plenty of  budget-friendly hotels in Costa Brava. Being less built-up for tourism, it\u2019s easy to find 4 star hotels by the beach<\/a> for incredible prices. You can find budget hotels in Costa del Sol too; however, we\u2019d recommend avoiding Marbella, as hotels and beaches here can be pricey \u2013 head to Malaga instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a location like Marbella, this one\u2019s a no-brainer. Whether you\u2019re kicking back at your high-end hotel in the hills, or enjoying a fancy night out in Puerto Banus, you\u2019ll feel like royalty at every turn in Costa del Sol. It\u2019s also the perfect honeymoon<\/a> destination, with romantic, adults-only hotels offering large suites and private pools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best for peace and quiet:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Laid back holidays with picturesque views more your thing? Costa Brava wins out here \u2013 the area\u2019s natural beauty and secluded beaches are unrivalled.  Some areas are quieter than others \u2013 we recommend skipping Lloret De Mar and staying in Santa Susanna or Calella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on quantity, there\u2019s more to do in Costa del Sol. You\u2019ll find historic landmarks, water parks and beautiful beaches with water sports and beach bars. And while you can find these things in Costa Brava, there\u2019s no arguing the choice on offer in Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best for nightlife:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We couldn\u2019t choose between these two areas for their incredible nightlife. If you\u2019re looking for a party holiday in Costa del Sol, the towns of Malaga and Marbella are where it\u2019s at. If you\u2019re holidaying in Costa Brava, look no further than Lloret de Mar for non-stop nights on the town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We simply couldn\u2019t choose between Costa del Sol and Costa Brava! These two beautiful parts of Spain are both worth visiting for different reasons.
