Blessed with the perfect climate and adorned by writers and poets through the years, Corfu is more than you might imagine.
The island has been influenced by many visitors through the years, their legacies still evident to this day from the cricket by the famous 'Liston' in Corfu Town to the stunning NeoClassical architecture of the Venetians. Historian's paradise, Corfu Town's labyrinth of tiny streets and graceful Venetian facades has been renovated without losing any of it's character.
Travelling around the island, Gouvia, Dassia and Ipsos are the closest resorts to the airport, all of which focus heavily on beach and nightlife and are great for families and couples alike. Venture further along the bougainvillea clad mountain road and the tranquil Nissaki offers lazy days soaking up the sun whilst quiet nights are mostly spent in a handful of traditional tavernas and bars.
To the north of the island are 3 of the island's more popular options, the once charming fishing village of Kassiopi with it's pretty harbour and colourful square, the stunning beaches of Roda and neighbouring Acharavi and the family friendly resort of Sidari.
Paleocastritsa, commonly referred to as the sophisticated options lies to the west with its charming coves, popular beach nestled against a rugged verdant backdrop and a sprinkling of charming hotels. The south and west of the island offer a smaller scattering of resorts, but popular nonetheless. St. Georges is a small resort popular with beach worshippers whilst the party animals amongst you will love the wild nightlife and lively beach fun of Kavos.
