Cayo Exclusive Resort & Spa offers guests a tranquil stay just yards from the ocean in Elounda, northeast Crete. With views of Spinalonga island and a verdant mountainous backdrop, the resort sits in an exceptionally beautiful location. It’s easy to explore the area on foot, or just sit back and take in the breathtaking scenery.

A 25-minute drive will take you to the upmarket resort town of Agios Nikolaos, a former fishing village, and home to some of the beach beaches in Crete. Closer by, you’ll find Oxia mountain and the ancient city of Naxos, an important archaeological site with stunning views of Elounda Bay.

Facilities

Two grand swimming pools come complete with comfortable sun beds, towels, and parasols. Nearly all accommodation types feature private pools, and a cutting-edge spa is available for a variety of up-to-the-minute treatments. The spa features a large indoor relaxation pool, a steam room, sauna, nail salon, and hair salon.

The hotel enjoys is own spot on a beautiful pebbled beach, just 250 yards from the property. On the beach, you’ll find complimentary sun beds, gazebos, beach towels and umbrellas, along with a beach bar serving cocktails and light refreshments. Free shuttle transport is available to and from the beach upon request.

Additional facilities include a boutique with designer clothing and jewellery, a series of meeting rooms and conference halls, and an EV charging station. Personal and tablet computers are available upon request, while a butler/concierge service is optional for guests staying in villa accommodation.

Rooms

Across all room types, guests can expect beautifully designed interior spaces, with plenty of natural light. With the exception of the Superior Room Sea View (open plan for mobility access), all accommodation features a private swimming pool with an outdoor shower and sun beds.

Each room comes with premium-quality bedding and furniture, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a large flat screen TV with international channels, and individually-controlled air conditioning. You’ll also find tea & coffee-making facilities, a mini bar, and a safe.

Guests can expect a world-class gastronomic experience at Cayo Resort, with menus curated by Michelin-starred chef Lefteris Lazarou. At the main restaurant Ambrosia, you’ll find a sumptuous daily buffet, with fresh, local ingredients. Separate vegetarian and child-friendly menus are available.

At Sage & Thyme Mediterranean restaurant, you’ll discover modern European dining in an elegant outdoor setting. Dishes at Sage & Thyme include fennel risotto with artichoke and a Cretan salad with local cheese.

Gourmet restaurant Kelari serves contemporary classics with a focus on freshly-caught fish. Dishes include seabass carpaccio with lime and grilled squid with fish roe mousse. The extensive wine list features carefully selected local and international wines.

Cayo Stone Beach offers signature cocktails and authentic Cretan meze, just yards from the ocean, while at Emerald Bar, you’ll find premium drinks and majestic views of Spinalonga Island. For drinks poolside, head to Enastron Bar, the perfect spot for a nightcap under the stars.
