This hotel is the result of the restoration of two 19th-century buidings on the corner of two pedestrian streets. Arab and roman ruins have been found underneath the building during its integral restoration. In fact, Alhondiga street is named after the ancient Muslim market, constituting a border crossing between The Medina and the Magdalena Christian quarter.
