The Torre Praia Hotel is a four star, situated on the beach, yet within easy walking distance of the centre is Vila Baleira, the principle town on the island. It has 62 rooms and 4 suites, and is built around a tower (Torre), which was once part of a lime factory. The public areas include the Salinas restaurant, where guests may enjoy an “a la carte” menu, Pizza n’Areia, and the Sports Bar. The terrace is next to the swimming pool, which has a separate area for children. Within the hotel there is a health club, with a gym where guests can practise aerobics, weight lifting, and cardiovascular exercising, or they can enjoy a sauna or Jacuzzi. Guests have free access to wi-fi Internet in several areas of the hotel.
