Ionian Sea Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1983, making it one of the first hotels established on the island of Kefalonia. Location

The hotel occupies a generously green setting on the island of Kefalonia, surrounded by lush gardens filled with bougainvillea, geraniums, olive trees, and lemon trees. It sits just 100 metres from a red sandy beach with turquoise water, providing effortless access to the sea. The small marina at Kounopetra, with its fishing boats and coastal scenery, is located 500 metres away. The nearest town, Lixouri — known locally as ‘Picolo Parigi’ — is 7 kilometres from the hotel, offering guests a convenient base from which to explore the wider island.

Facilities

The hotel features an aqua park with five water slides, including one family slide, two open slides, and two closed slides, all available for guest use upon special request. There are two swimming pools designated for adults and a separate pool designed specifically for children and infants, with all pools open daily for swimming. A Spa is available on site, offering a range of massage and wellness treatments including back, neck and head massage, antistress massage, deep tissue massage, bamboo massage, hydro massage, extremities massage, foot massage, a children’s massage option for guests aged 5 to 12, and facial treatments. A sauna is also available within the spa, along with a selection of skincare products created using natural ingredients from the island. A mini market and souvenir store is located on the premises for guests wishing to shop during their stay.

Room

Accommodation at Ionian Sea Hotel has been newly renovated and is offered in a range of room types to suit different party sizes and requirements. Double rooms are elegantly decorated with a spacious double bed, a private balcony offering sea views, air conditioning, a flat-screen television, and Wi-Fi. Triple and quadruple rooms are also available, as are maisonettes, all of which are equally well appointed. Rooms for larger families or groups of five are available. Every room category is equipped with a television, wake-up service, refrigerator, air conditioning, a private bathroom, a balcony or terrace, a hair dryer, a kettle, and free Wi-Fi. Baby cots and collapsed bedrails are available upon request. The hotel provides accessible rooms suitable for guests with disabilities, and all facilities are equipped with disabled ramps. Housekeeping operates a second shift, and towel changes are available on request in support of the hotel’s environmental practices. Breakfast can be served in the room upon request, and a lunch box can be arranged via the reception.

Sports and entertainment provision at Ionian Sea Hotel is extensive. Active guests can make use of an outdoor gym, tennis court, paddle court, soccer court, volleyball court, and ping pong and darts facilities. The animation team organises water polo and water basketball in the pools, as well as a varied programme of daily activities, live shows, dancers, Greek nights, and a mini disco. The dedicated Mini Club caters to children aged 4 to 12 years old and provides a structured programme of creative and fun activities throughout the day. Dining & Bars

Dining at the hotel centres on the main buffet restaurant, which is located beside the swimming pools and decorated with natural wood tones and warm colours. The restaurant serves an open buffet featuring a wide selection of dishes and desserts, with organic produce cultivated in the hotel’s own fields used in the preparation of meals. A variety of drinks and homemade ice cream are also available, and the restaurant is open to both hotel guests and outside visitors at affordable prices. An à la carte restaurant is also available, situated near the water slides and offering sea views alongside Mediterranean and Italian cuisine; reservations can be made through the hotel reception. The pool bar is open daily and serves cocktails and refreshments alongside the adult swimming pools. The garden bar opens in the evenings and provides a relaxed setting for drinks alongside the evening entertainment programme. The aqua park bar offers fresh juices, ice creams, light meals, and snacks. A snack bar located near the restaurant area, which forms part of the All Inclusive programme, serves hot and cold snacks, desserts, and ice creams during the day.
