For fully a century, art has played a major role in the Park Hotel Laurin, and thus art is presented to the guest in every room. The hotel itself is a unique artwork. The fresco works were severely damaged in the Second World War, and afterwards were painted over in white, only to return in 1990 following arduous restoration work. Today they appear once again in their full splendour to guests and visitors. Situated in the centre of the city and yet completely remote, the private park of Hotel Laurin is a place to enjoy a walk under centuries-old cedar trees. Lush paths lead to areas with hidden artworks, where you may relax in the cool shadows of the trees. The Laurin Bar in the park is the ideal place to meet, to relax or simply to enjoy one of our legendary cocktails amidst the greenery. For a rejuvenating effect, immerse yourself in our heated swimming pool, open from May to September. Parkhotel Laurin is located in the old town of Bolzano/Bozen. Museums, shops and other places of interest are only a few steps away. The South Tyrolean main town Bolzano/Bozen is a true melting pot of cultures. For centuries, merchants and artists on their way between Italy and the North came through Bolzano on the old Roman trade route. The brisk cross-border trade has strongly influenced life and culture in Bolzano, and led to the culturally open attitude of its citizens. Today Bolzano, whose official and commonly-spoken languages are German and Italian, is a modern European city which attracts business people and tourists from all over the world. What makes Bolzano even more attractive is its high quality of life, its visible proximity to the magnificent Dolomites, and its central position in the heart of Europe.
