So, if a 5 star escape in the heart of Cyprus is what you’re seeking, look no further.

Sleep like a VIP

Expect art adorned walls, beautiful shades of pink and cream, marble bathrooms kitted out with designer toiletries, alongside premium furniture including a plush king-size bed that dominates the bedroom. Revel in 34 square metres of space which accommodates up to three guests and immerse yourself in its smart 40-inch TV, mood lighting, thick bathrobes and fluffy slippers, before heading straight for the fully-stocked mini bar.

For added opulence your stay includes a pillow menu, a complimentary welcome drink and fresh fruit upon arrival. Not to mention the free Wi-Fi, room-wide volume control panels and private balcony or terrace – do we need to say more? And all that comes as standard, holidaymakers can also choose to rest their head in a family Cyprian maisonette which opens out onto the royal gardens. Alternatively, there are 12 studios which overlook the Tomb of the Kings or traditional villas boasting up to 60 square metres of space and sleeping six guests.

Home to some of the best restaurants in Paphos

You don’t need to wander the streets to sample great cuisine, onsite you’re welcomed by freshly picked local produce cooked by expert chefs. As for board options, Bed and Breakfast, Half Board and Full Board are the choices – either way, you won’t be disappointed.

Lemonia Piazza: Famed around the island for its delicious breakfast offerings, indulge in freshly baked pastries and breads, alongside cheeses and hot delights such as crispy bacon and fried sausages. Celebrating something special? Champagne is also served in the morning.

Epicurean Restaurant: During May to October this gourmet buffet spot features a terrace, allowing guests to dine under the stars while feasting on top fare from across the world.

Ristorante Bacco: Celebrate the mouth-watering food of Tuscany at this Italian eatery. Matching homemade pasta dishes with the region’s wine, you’re bound to be running back for more.

O’Shin Restaurant: Relax in this oriental setting as you tuck into pan-Asian treats such as sushi, maki and sashimi, just some of the taste bud tantalising dishes on the menu.

Mediterraneo Restaurant: This open-air hotspot not only focuses on Mediterranean fare, but here you can indulge in traditional dishes throughout lunch and dinner. From fresh fish to pasta and salads, let your imagination run wild.

Astria Bar: This beautifully lit up bar sits beneath a pergola-covered terrace and offers a range of premium whiskies and colourful cocktails. It’s also your go-to for live music and performances.

Cafe Occidental: Sat adjacent to the hotel’s library, grab a light bite at this all-day venue. Whether you fancy a gourmet sandwich or a box brimming with pastries, there’s ample snack choices.

Mare Nostrum Pool Bar: Refreshing drinks are on hand during those sunbathing hours at this outdoor joint. You can also grab a slice of pizza when the hunger pains kick in.

Facilities the whole family can take advantage of

The focal point of the hotel has to be its hydro massage pool with its tranquil waters and beachfront setting. However, the Royal pool is arguably just as impressive but with one strict rule – no kids allowed. There’s also an indoor number for spa guests after they’ve indulged in a detoxifying body scrub and holistic therapies. Active types will appreciate the tennis courts, where you can get one-to-one sessions with an expert coach. And if that wasn’t enough, this deluxe establishment also offers personal training sessions (at a charge).

As for the kids, there’s a club dedicated to ages three to 12 where soft play, interactive games and water-based activities are all part of the programme. Creche options are also on hand for newbie parents looking for some alone time, here trained professional staff members will look after your tiny tots.

Surrounded by major attractions

With sweeping views of the Tomb of the Kings directly from your room, it’s safe to say you’re in close proximity to some of the island’s biggest allures. From Paphos Zoo to its exciting waterparks and archaeological parks, the draws are endless. Just moments from your accommodation you can benefit from go-karting courses, horse riding sessions and a bowling centre. As for transfer time, you’re only 45 minutes from the airport.
