The new course, originally built in 2008, has been revamped with new tees, while the south course (opened in 1999), has hosted a number of professional tournaments in its time.

No visit to this resort is complete without paying a visit to the Be Aloe Centre. Set across two parts, the inner zone and outside area, a wealth of pamper treats are at your disposal. Part of the resort’s appeal is being away from the tourist-laden spots. With 40,000 square metres of land, this 5 star hotel flaunts a rural setting.

That means there’s no beach in walking distance, but the hotel does provide a free shuttle service to Meloneras Beach – it’s about a 15-minute drive. Once you get to the beach, Salobre’s Beach Point provides changing rooms, lockers and towels to help make your day on Maspalomas’ golden sands as relaxing as possible
