Its interior is truly majestic, featuring a stunning red staircase that is said to have inspired J.K Rowling when writing her famous Harry Potter books and stunning stained glass windows. You must pay to enter to take a look around but if you buy a book, this cost will be taken off the overall price.

Enjoy the buzz in Cais da Ribeira

Porto’s riverside district is a hotspot for tourists with a vast range of bars and restaurants and a pretty harbour to walk along during the evening. Enjoy the views of the water, the pretty pastel-painted houses and the iconic industrial Luis I Bridge in the distance. The bridge may just remind you of another iconic European tourist attraction as it was created by a German engineer that helped create the Eiffel Tower.
