June is the perfect time to soak up some rays before the peak season crowds descend. Not only does the month witness the longest day of the year, but you can expect temperatures well into their 20s in most destinations.

Weather

June is an ideal time to travel to Corfu as you’re almost guaranteed good weather. Days are typically hot with lows of 17°C and highs of 28°C. If you don’t like temperatures too hot, we suggest heading here at the beginning of the month, while those seeking the month’s hottest temperatures should visit towards the end.

Best of all, your chances of rain are low with just 20mm expected. If it’s beach days you’re after, there’s never been a better time to hit Corfu’s less-crowded sands with toasty 23°C sea waters ideal for swimming sessions.

June marks the start of summer in Torremolinos and with that comes fantastic weather. You can expect warm, dry days with averages of 22°C guaranteeing daily sunbathing stints. There’s plenty of time to explore this Spanish gem too with 14 hours of sunlight ideal for lengthy beach days.

The sea is just as inviting with 24°C waters luring you in when those hot temperatures make an appearance. It may still be raining back home, but in Torremolinos showers are rare with just 10mm over a two-day period.

This Spanish favourite has been booming since the 1950s, it’s safe to say its appeal hasn’t faded with more and more Brits flocking here every year. Home to the widest beaches in the whole of the Costas, there’s plenty of room to stretch out along its sun-kissed coastline.

June is a great time to visit if you don’t want to experience its uncomfortable temperatures with days typically peaking at 28°C, which is a lot cooler than July and August. You can make the most of 12 hours of sunlight each day, so there’s plenty of chance to squeeze in its history, beaches and natural wonders.

With just one rainy day expected throughout the month, you certainly won’t need any waterproofs. The sea has heated up too, with 21°C waters you’ll feel like you have stepped into a warm bath.

With days almost 14 hours long during June, the sun won’t set until around 9pm, so that’s plenty of time to bask in the resort’s sun-filled days. Trade winds start to pick up around this time, but these warm breezes are nothing to worry about. You can expect averages of 22°C and if you do experience any cloud cover it’s usually first thing on a morning.

Afternoons were made for the beach with 20°C sea water without a rain cloud in sight. Therefore, swimming is pleasant at this time of year, especially if you hit the resort towards the end of the month.

With June comes a rise in temperature if you’re planning a trip to Costa Adeje, this means you can look forward to comfortable days thanks to averages of 21°C and highs of 24°C. And there’s plenty of time to visit its inviting coastline with 12 hours of sunlight allowing you to sunbathe late into the evening.

Rain is minimal at this time of year with just 5mm of average rainfall for the whole month. That said, the chances you’ll get caught in a shower are extremely rare. You may experience some cloud cover but it will be mostly sunny with an 85% chance of clear skies throughout the month.
