Shopping areas

This island is known for its shopping areas with streets lined with everything from luxurious boutiques to quirky traditional shops selling one-off items. Whether you’re looking for big-name labels or local bargains, head to these areas and get ready for some serious window-shopping.

Ibiza Marina Botafoch

As one of the most popular shopping areas in Ibiza, you can always rely on this hotspot when it comes to securing the island’s most sought-after buys. From international brands to small local shops complete with affordable fashion items, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for.

Come June, you’ll come across a Stella McCartney pop-up store. Only open until October, this boutique has been created with the brand in mind hence its use of architectural materials. Over on the central boulevard, you’ve got some big-name fashion houses including Blue Ibiza and Ermanno Scervino.

Location: This upmarket spot is situated in Ibiza Town, just across from the old harbour district.

Santa Gertrudis

Known as a shopper’s paradise, this small village is known for its selection of boutiques selling fashion items and jewellery. Small alleyways lined with vintage shops such as the popular Mareas are what you can look forward to when you visit this little treasure trove.

Opening times: Each shop has different opening hours, but most stay open until 9pm or later. Please note, some shut midday for a siesta.

With a long list of A-listers and millionaires hitting ‘The White Isle’ each year, premium brands are easy to come by. Ibiza Town is the place to go for designer threads with boutiques selling some of the most prestigious global brands.

Designer’s Best

This small retail space is a must-visit if you want to purchase luxury brands. Renowned by the fashion professional Mujda and known for its links to the industry, browse rails filled with haute couture labels including the legendary Alexander Mcqueen!

Forward-thinking fashionistas will love checking out pieces from up-and-coming designers
with garments hand-picked by fashion editors – as long as you shop here you’ll always be on trend.

Location: Found in the heart of Ibiza Town, you can’t miss this stylish spot.

Best for: If you’re a fan of all things designer, this is just the place for you. Featuring high-fashion items, this is a great shop for those wanting to recreate looks they have seen on the catwalk.

Opening times: Every day, however this can change based on the season you travel.

reVOLVER

This well-known store is all about cutting-edge style. Catering to men and women, it houses labels from designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Wang and even Victoria Beckham. You’ll also come across a range of statement accessories, with its sunglasses proving a popular choice.

Known as one of the island’s coolest boutiques, its designs have an urban vibe to them. Can’t afford to splash out on expensive makes? Then opt for its trendy, affordable items instead. Created by young designers, you could be wearing clothes by fashion’s next big thing.

Location: This trendy spot is situated in Ibiza Town’s shopping district La Marina.

Best for: If you’re looking for designer fashion with an edge, you’ll love reVOLVER. Known for its street style, this cult clothing store has something for all budgets with its combination of premium and high-street items.

Opening times:
Monday to Saturday: 10.30am to 2pm and 5.30 to 11pm
Sunday: 11am to 2pm and 6pm to 11pm

Where to stay

Making it onto the runway in Paris, these eye-catching accessories have featured in a whole host of style magazines. You’ll also find a few of their pieces at the Las Dalias Hippie Market in the summer months.

Location: This famous store is situated in San Juan’s countryside, near Can Curune. If you’re travelling from Ibiza Town by car, it will take around 40 minutes to get here.

Best for:Known for its boho buys, this is a great place to pick up exclusive, handmade pieces created with fabrics sourced worldwide.

Opening times: Open every day from 10am to 9pm with no siesta.

Reina & Roses

Inspired by Ibiza’s relaxing beats and beautiful sunsets, Reina & Roses’ boho designs were born in Ibiza. With a range of looks from day to night, this women’s boutique is a must-visit during your time on the island. Fitting in with the island’s unique hippy style, choose from a range of low-key looks.

Celebrated for its clothing, you’ll find everything from skirts to blouses and dresses here. Alongside these garments you’ll also come across an assortment of accessories including bags, belts and jewellery. Its items are moderately priced, so don’t worry, you’ll still have plenty of holiday spends leftover.

Location: Their flagship store is located on the main road to Santa Eulalia.

Best for:Fashion enthusiasts with a passion for all things bohemian. Whether you’re a lover of patterned harem pants or prefer colorful chiffon dresses, this store won’t disappoint.

Opening times:Open daily from 10am to 10pm.

Markets

Ibiza has become synonymous with hippy markets, so much so, it’s one of the island’s biggest draws. Running since 1970s, these cycledelic market stalls are bursting with colourful items with locals selling everything from clothes to bags and jewellery.

Las Dalias

Running since the 1980s, you can’t come to Ibiza without stopping by one of its most famous markets. Adored for its huge selection of products with an impressive 200 stalls and unique garden location, you can pick up a whole host of funky items here with a selection of clothing, shoes and jewellery.

But it’s so much more than just walking aimlessly past sellers looking for the best buys. This beloved market comes with a fantastic atmosphere with live music and performances accompanying you as you shop. And don’t forget to sample the mint tea, it’s all part of the experience.

Location: In the idyllic town of San Carlos, which is a 10-minute drive from the popular resort Santa Eulalia.

Best for: Perfect for those looking for an authentic shopping trip,which is unlike anything else you may have experienced.

Opening times: Saturday from 10am to 8pm during April and October. Please note, if you visit outside these months the market will close at 6pm.

It’s also open at night on a Monday and Tuesday from 7pm to 1am during the months of June and September as well as Sundays in August.

Top tip: Averaging 20,000 visitors a day, we suggest getting here early if you want to avoid the crowds, especially if you’re holidaying in the peak summer months.

Punta Arabi

As the oldest and biggest hippie market in Ibiza, Punta Arabi opened its doors in 1973. With 500 stalls to make your way around, it’s the best place to pick up custom-made pieces. Staying true to its roots, this iconic market remains relatively unchanged.

With colourful stalls selling beautiful fabrics and handmade jewellery, you won’t be able to leave without making a purchase. Packed with all sorts of entertainment with places to grab a drink and a bite to eat, there’s something here for the whole family.

Location: Found on a paved area in the resort of Playa Es Cana and surrounded by bars and restaurants, this outdoor market is hard to miss.

Best for: Not only is this a great shopping experience but a fantastic day out. Attracting everyone from fashionistas looking for authentic buys to families wanting to enjoy the atmosphere, make sure you squeeze this into your itinerary.

Opening times: Wednesdays from April to October 10am to 6pm, June to September 10am to 7pm and August 10am to 8pm.

Top tip:If the initial price of an item is a little on the expensive side, we always advise haggling. This may not work but it is worth a try as some sellers will be more willing to drop their prices.
