1. Madrid

The biggest, and some may say, the best, Madrid is home to the most attended Pride parade in Europe! Festivities begin every year on 28 June (International Pride Day) and continue throughout the rest of the week with an array of different events. On the first Saturday in July, the Madrid Pride Parade takes place from Atocha train station to Plaza de Colón – enjoy an amazing atmosphere at this world-famous celebration! 2. Amsterdam

Amsterdam boasts one of the most unique and lively Pride parades in Europe! Even though the dates vary year on year (usually in August), you can always guarantee colourful street parties and decorated boats sailing from the Prinsengrach canal. Not only that, but the vibrant city hosts film screenings, dance parties and Pride walks throughout the month. We’d recommend staying in the centre to keep all the exciting festivities within walking distance – there are plenty of affordable hotels to choose from!

3. Stockholm

Experience the largest Pride parade in Scandinavia! With around 50,000 participants, Stockholm hosts a joyful celebration open to all. From workshops and debates in Pride House to parties and live music at Pride Park, there’s an impressive selection of exciting events. Join the 4.5km-long parade along the street of Norr Mälarstrand and ending at Östermalms IP where Pride Park is located. 4. Paris

With over 700,000 spectators and participants, Paris hosts one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world! The main march usually takes place towards the end of June and leads to a huge, free party in Place de la République or Place de la Bastille (depending on the route)! After the 4hr long parade, hit the city’s selection of bars, restaurants and themed parties in the Marais district. With the celebrations lasting all weekend long, you’re best finding a budget-friendly hotel close to the city centre.

5. Rome

Combine memorable Pride celebrations with sun-kissed weather in Rome. Pride events in the Eternal City usually take place on the first weekend of June and consists of bustling parties and parades. The main march travels through the ancient city streets usually starting at Piazza della Republicca and finishing up at Piazza Venezia. After the parade, take the celebrations into the night and attend a wide variety of after parties at local bars and restaurants, or head back to a nearby hotel to unwind between festivities.

6. Barcelona

Another big hit in Spain, Barcelona boasts 250,000 pride visitors each year with celebrations usually commencing in June or July. Featuring conferences, demonstrations and a concert with special musical guests, the annual events get better every year!
